Japanese musician and singer/songwriter Shugo Tokumaru will be releasing his first album in five years. The album is called TOSS and its premier song is Lita-Ruta. TOSS will be released 4/28 on Polyvinyl.
Legendary shoegazers Ride have released their second new track in as many days. This one sounds like classic Ride, or as guitarist Andy Bell said “It’s like 1966 Beatles meets 1988 MBV.” More quotes via NME about the new song from Bell and frontman Mark Gardener. The new album will be rleased this summer on Wichita Recordings.
“Something Just Like This” is a collaboration between Coldplay and The Chainsmokers. It sounds exactly like how’d you expect. So be disappointed.
Emperor X has released what will be the second song from his upcoming LP Oversleepers International. Last year he released “Wasted on the Senate Floor”. This track is titled “€30,000” and follows the same direction as his previous material. Pop songs that have depressing lyrics and feel bare boned. Oversleepers International will be released 5/5 via Tiny Engines.
Strange Ranger, fka Sioux Falls, have released a couple of outtakes from their upcoming album in anticipation of its release. The music is closer to the kind they recorded from last year’s EP, Sunbeams Through Your Head and first release as Strange Ranger, than it did under the moniker Sioux Falls. Both tracks are atmospheric acoustic indie rock. The tracks are pay-what-you-want and proceeds go to the ACLU.
